CCA GALLERIES INTERNATIONAL ANNOUNCE THE FINAL ARTIST SHORTLIST FOR THEIR SUMMER EXHIBITION
The submissions to CCA Galleries International's first ever Summer Exhibition have been recieved and the final artist shortlist now selected. The exhibition is based on the successful model at the Royal Academy every summer – exhibits are selected by a panel of professional artists and critics and shown in a group selling exhibition. As well as exhibiting at a prestigious, international gallery, being selected for CCAI Summer Exhibition is expected to help launch the careers of promising Jersey artists, as well as enforcing that of those already established. All work is for sale and will be hung, lit and curated by CCA Galleries International.
CCA Galleries International has been hosting the Skipton Open Studios taster exhibition for the past couple of years and the summer exhibition has developed through a growing appetite for high quality, curated visual art in Jersey. The Summer Exhibition is made possible by the support of our partners TEAM Asset Management. Gallery Director, Sasha Gibb says ’ TEAM’s sponsorship of the exhibition for the next 3 years shows a commitment to the project and to the healthy development of the Jersey art scene. ’
If your work has been accepted in the final selection you will recieve a letter and agreement document regarding the consignment of work for exhibition at the Gallery. The chosen work must be delivered to the Gallery on Friday 23 June between 9.30am - 2.30pm. It will be hung and exhibited and for sale in the gallery for the month of July.

The Deconstruction of a Print with Gillian Duke

Gillian Duke, printmaker, MD Worton Hall Studios and CCA Galleries. Gillian has been working alongside International print legends such as Sir Peter Blake, Bruce McLean, Sandra Blow, Sir Terry Frost and Barbara Rae for nearly 20 years. Gillian will be introducing Peter Blake's latest work The Dazzle Alphabet and showing us how it was made, as well as explaining the key role of the original print in the contemporary art world. A must for all Blake enthusiasts as well as those keen to learn more about original prints and how they are made.
Ballet Photography with Dasa Wharton

Photographer gives an inspiring illustrated talk on her work as photographer for Czech National Ballet and English National Ballet. Photographing ballet legends such as Serei Polunin and Daria Klimentova, Dasa gives a fascintaing glimpse behind the scenes as well as talking openly about her perseverance to persue her dream.
In Conversation: Tanja Deman and Jonny Briggs - Archisle International Photographers in Residence 2017

Ahead of their exhibition at CCA Galleries International in September 2017 Archisle Photographers in Residence Tanja Deman and Jonny Briggs will be in conversation with Gareth Syvret Archisle Project Leader to discuss their practice and Jersey residency projects. Archisle: The Jersey Contemporary Photography Programme, hosted by the Société Jersiaise Photographic Archive promotes contemporary lens-based-media through an ongoing programme of exhibitions, education and commissions. The Archisle project connects photographic archives, contemporary practice and experiences of island cultures and geographies through the development of a forum for creative discourse between Jersey and international practitioners.
