Between the Lines - Poetry Workshop by Traci O'Dea
Wednesday 20 October 2021

It's a well used cliché that a picture says a thousand words. Here, we ask for only a couple of stanzas and invite you to join us at the gallery to write your own piece of poetry tutored by Traci O'Dea.

American poet Traci O'Dea will lead two workshops on Wednesday 20th October where participants will read poems that address works of art then craft their own poems inspired by the current exhibition, Remnants of Life by Glen Perotte. You will also be given an opportunity to hear each other's work. No previous poetry writing experience is required, you will receive expert help and advice in a creative, stimulating environment.

Author of the poetry collections Waving and Restricted Movement, Traci O’Dea is an American poet living in Jersey. Her poetry has appeared in Poetry, Literary Matters, Hopkins Review, The Jersey Evening Post, the Goethe Institut, BBC Radio Jersey and elsewhere. She serves as a poetry editor for the international literary journals Smartish Pace, MOKO: Caribbean Arts & Letters, and Lit.Words. She received a 2020 Seed Funding Grant from ArtHouse Jersey.
