'Shadwell Park' - A signed limited edition silkscreen print by architectural artist John Piper. Levinson 277.

From 'Victorian Dream Palaces' a portfolio of eight screen prints. Description from the portfolio below: 'Shadwell Park near Thetford, Norfolk, is a private house in the possession of the Musker family, who have owned it since the end of the nineteenth century. A large addition to the east side, pr entrance front, was made by S.S. Teulon in 1855-6 to a house by Edward Blore which had been built twenty years earlier. The wold, fantastic skyline of the Teulon addition, the Gothic and castellated details, the elaborate patterning of walls in dark Norfolk flint framed in pale stone are all fruits of that mid-nineteenth-century romanticism in building and decoration that followed the Great Exhibition of 1851. '
